Perak Academy Presents Talk on Traditional Medicine, Life Sciences and Health Industry

Perak Academy will be presenting a post dinner talk by Dr. Te Kian Kong on the topic of Traditional Medicine, Life Sciences and Health Industry: New Opportunities for Malaysia and UTAR to Advance the Convergence of Asian Medical Civilisations.
This talk will explore the historical development, current practices, and regulatory landscape of traditional medicine in Malaysia, with particular emphasis on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda and Panchakarma traditions, and Malay ethnobotanical knowledge. It will also highlight UTAR’s contributions in education, clinical services, research, community engagement, and international collaboration.
The event will take place on 26 June at 8 pm, with the venue being the Mamut Meeting Room at 1Lasam, located at No. 1, Jalan Lasam, 30350 Ipoh, Perak.
