Sunway College Ipoh continues its commitment to making quality higher education accessible through a wide range of scholarships and financial assistance schemes, ensuring that deserving students can pursue their academic aspirations regardless of their financial background.
Among the initiatives offered is the Community Scholarship, which supports students from lower-income families by providing eligible students from households with a monthly income of RM5,000 and below with up to a 50% tuition fee waiver. The scholarship aims to reduce financial barriers and enable more students to access quality higher education.
Apart from the Community Scholarship, Sunway College Ipoh also offers the Principal Scholarship, which rewards students for their academic achievements. Students who obtain a minimum of five Bs in SPM or IGCSE and enrol in a Diploma programme, or seven Bs in SPM or IGCSE and enrol in a Foundation programme, are entitled to a 50% tuition fee waiver. The scholarship is also available to eligible STPM and UEC graduates pursuing Degree programmes at Sunway College Ipoh.
Outstanding students may additionally qualify for scholarships of up to 100%, reflecting the college’s commitment to recognising academic excellence, leadership qualities, co-curricular achievements, and exceptional talents.


Among the recipients is Wong Jun Quan, who was awarded the Community Scholarship and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Marketing. The scholarship supports students from lower-income families by providing up to a 50% tuition fee waiver, easing financial burdens while enabling access to higher education.


Another recipient, Joshua Lee Jia Cheng, received the Principal Scholarship and is currently enrolled in the Diploma in Graphic Design programme. The scholarship recognises academic achievement and rewards eligible students with a 50% tuition fee waiver.
Students who receive scholarships benefit not only from financial assistance but also from a holistic learning environment that nurtures academic excellence, leadership skills, critical thinking, and industry readiness. They are given opportunities to participate in student activities, community projects, internships, and leadership development programmes that prepare them for future success.
