SITIAWAN – The continued occurrence of bullying incidents highlights the need for preventive measures and greater understanding of such negative behaviour.
This approach was carried out at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Ladang Walbrook in conjunction with the launch of the National Month Celebration and the SAFE Programme – School Anti-Bullying Framework.
The motivational talk was delivered by the Head of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division of Manjung District Police Headquarters (IPD), ASP Rajan Munusamy.
Also present were SJKT Ladang Walbrook Headmaster Nanthankumar Duraisamy and members of the teaching staff.
The talk provided students with exposure to the dangers of bullying and its impact on victims as well as the school environment.
Students were also briefed on preventive measures and appropriate actions that could be taken to avoid bullying incidents.
They were advised to practise discipline, respect teachers and comply with the rules set by the school.
Such efforts are important in creating a safe, harmonious and conducive learning environment for all students.
The programme is also expected to raise awareness among students and the school community to work together in combating bullying.
Cooperation between the school, community and Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) was further strengthened through the programme.
The initiative is in line with efforts to create a school environment free from violence, intimidation and all forms of bullying.
