BATU GAJAH: The creative talent of a fashion designer from Batu Gajah Community College was showcased when its design won third place in the Best Attire category for the Kinta District Marching Contingent.

The achievement was recorded during the 2026 Perak Darul Ridzuan State-level National Day Celebration.

The project was led by Batu Gajah Community College Fashion Designer Noraini Mohamad Nor, together with Semester Three students from the Fashion and Clothing Programme.

The success was a source of pride for the Kinta District Contingent and further enhanced the reputation of Batu Gajah Community College, particularly its Fashion and Clothing Programme.

This marked the third consecutive year the college has designed outfits in collaboration with the Kinta District and Land Office.

The outfit design highlighted Perak’s rich heritage while also showcasing the spirit of patriotism.

Adding a distinctive touch, the Kelumpang flower motif was reintroduced as a heritage flower of the state and combined with the traditional Kelarai motif.

The use of red, white, blue and yellow further reflected the spirit of patriotism and love for the country.

Songket fabric elements and modern printing techniques were also incorporated, creating a blend of traditional and contemporary design.

Congratulations to Batu Gajah Community College.
