BATU GAJAH – Perak Police have selected Kampung Ara Payung, Taman Batu Gajah Perdana and Taman Tasek Putra, Tronoh as AMANITA (Women’s Volunteer Squad) Adopted Areas.
The programme was held at the Kinta District Council Hall, Batu Gajah, here.
The establishment of these adopted areas aims to strengthen relations between the police and the community.
This is achieved particularly through the role of women in providing information on security issues and suspicious activities within their neighbourhoods.
The launch of the Batu Gajah District AMANITA Adopted Areas was officiated by Deputy Perak Police Chief, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari.
He represented Perak Police Chief, Datuk Mohd Alwi Zainal Abidin.
The event also witnessed the presentation of AMANITA Liaison Officer Appointment Certificates to the heads of AMANITA at the department and district levels of the Perak Police.
The programme was followed by the Perak Police Chief’s Town Hall Discussion, which served as a platform for two-way communication between the police and the community.
The session reflected the police’s continued commitment to strengthening the community policing approach and empowering cooperation with the public.
