IPOH – Since opening last month, Ipoh’s newest gastronomic destination, Serai Estate, has continued to expand its presence on Perak’s tourism map.
Yesterday, Serai Estate and Serai Johawaki Sdn. Bhd. hosted an exclusive afternoon tea and strategic corporate networking event at Kelarai Hall, Serai Estate, here.
The event brought together strategic partners and industry players to strengthen relationships and explore potential areas of collaboration.
The presence of Perak Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, who is also Chairman of the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation (Perak SADC), added significance to the event.
The transition from The Paloh to Serai Estate marks a new chapter through a strategic collaboration between Perak SADC and Serai Johawaki Sdn. Bhd.
The collaboration aims to optimise the potential of the asset and establish Serai Estate as a destination for gastronomy, events and experiences.
Kelarai Hall was introduced as an event venue offering a distinctive setting compared with conventional halls.
The glasshouse-style venue features design elements inspired by Perak’s heritage and traditional craftsmanship.
The name Kelarai refers to geometric weaving patterns and checkerboard designs that form part of the state’s traditional craft heritage.
The hall can accommodate up to 300 guests at a time.
It is suitable for corporate functions, conferences, seminars, product launches, exhibitions, weddings and private celebrations.
The presence of Kelarai Hall also provides a new option for the public and corporate sector seeking event venues in Ipoh.
The combination of event facilities, gastronomy and Perak’s heritage elements positions Serai Estate as a potential destination for further development in the state’s events and tourism industry.
