KAMPAR – Kampar District Council (MDKpr) has received the Senior Citizens’ Care Appreciation Award in the Local Authority (PBT) category.
The recognition was presented by the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, YB Hajah Nancy Shukri, at a ceremony held at MITC, Ayer Keroh, Melaka, last Saturday.
The award was received by TPr Muhamad Hisham Hashim, Administrative Officer (Planning), who is performing the duties of MDKpr Secretary, on behalf of the MDKpr President.
The recognition reflects MDKpr’s commitment to creating an environment that is caring, inclusive and senior citizen-friendly.

It also acknowledges the local authority’s efforts to ensure senior citizens continue to receive attention and are not marginalised in community development.
For MDKpr, the award is not merely a form of recognition but also serves as an impetus to strengthen initiatives related to the well-being of senior citizens.
Among the areas given attention are the provision of public facilities, community participation and the creation of comfortable and senior citizen-friendly environments.

The efforts are in line with the aspiration to build an inclusive and caring society that values the contributions of senior citizens.
MDKpr also aims to ensure that senior citizens continue to have opportunities to interact, contribute to society and enjoy a quality life.
The recognition serves as an encouragement for MDKpr to further strengthen its welfare and senior citizens’ well-being agenda in Kampar District.
