IPOH – Public servants in Perak have been reminded to prioritise public convenience by ensuring that government services are delivered efficiently without placing unnecessary burdens on the people.
Perak State Secretary, Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, said every matter must be handled promptly, responsibly and with the effective use of technology.

He stressed that the principle guiding the public service is to make things easier for the people, rather than create additional difficulties for them.
He said the no wrong door policy must be embraced to ensure that members of the public receive assistance until their matters are resolved, instead of being passed from one counter to another.
According to him, public servants must also demonstrate a sense of urgency in carrying out their duties and avoid delaying matters that can reasonably be completed on the same day.

He said this when delivering his speech at the 2025 Excellent Service Award (APC) Ceremony of the Kinta District and Land Office (PDT Kinta) at Hotel Weil, Ipoh, last night.
Ahmad Suaidi said the use of technology and digitalisation, including the e-Tanah system, must be strengthened to expedite processes and reduce bureaucratic red tape.
He added that these measures were also important to enhance transparency and improve the effectiveness of government service delivery to the public.
At the ceremony, he presented the Excellent Service Award to eight PDT Kinta staff members in recognition of their outstanding performance throughout 2025.
