Thrilling; anxious from the beginning to the end of the performance.

Featuring big names like Ellie Suriaty Omar, Aloy Paradoks and Ard Omar, this is why the ‘Bukan Gila’ theatre performance should not be missed.

The appearance of Pak Cik Raja Lawak and Apit Wan Lebo who are famous among local comedians is also entertaining.

This theatre was staged by the Kinta District Cultural Association for three days starting last night at the Perak Department of Culture and Arts Auditorium.

‘Bukan Gila’ is adapted from the Literary Component Text Anthology (Komsas) SPM Form 5: Sejadah Rindu with the script ‘Bukan Gila’ by Sharif Shaary.

This theatre performance is one of the efforts to facilitate the understanding of the students who will sit for the SPM exam.

Komsas Theater Production Manager ‘Bukan Crazy’, Nor Aini Ismail said this performance involves about 36 people consisting of actors and a crew including musical accompaniment.

According to him, the preview performance was held last night and the response from theatre art fans was extraordinary.

“The next performance is tonight and tomorrow at 8.30 pm.

“Theatre ‘Bukan Gila’ by Sharif Shaary with a staging script also written by him under the direction of Ard Omar.

“This theatre is also an initiative to give birth to many generations who will deepen our mother’s literature to dignify the nation’s culture in line with the mission of the country’s creative industry.

“Therefore, the public is invited to attend this theatre performance while the entrance fee is only RM 15,” he said.

The one-hour and 20-minute theatrical performance is about the perseverance of a young man who had to fight against cancer.

This young man, Azmir, was considered crazy by the family and the community until he was shunned before dying alone.

However, to feel the pain of Azmir through the effective actions of Aloy Paradoks, can only be seen through the theatrical staging of ‘Bukan Gila’.
