IPOH: The safety of spectators, including visiting teams during football matches involving Perak FC, is always assured by the police to prevent any unwanted incidents.
The Perak police have sufficient personnel to manage the situation inside and outside the stadium.
This includes deploying members of the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) if necessary for specific matches.
Perak Police Chief, Datuk.Azizi Mat Aris, stated that safety measures are consistent across all events, not just football.
“I have been informed that the venue for the football match involving Perak FC in the 2024/25 Malaysia League (Liga-M) has been changed from Ipoh Stadium to the Manjung Municipal Council Stadium.
“The match is scheduled to start with Perak FC facing Sabah FC on October 19.
“Therefore, I have entrusted the security control at the stadium to the Manjung District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner (ACP) Hasbullah Abdul Rahman, as the senior police officer.
“I believe the Manjung District Police will prioritize this matter,” he said.

Earlier, Azizi received a courtesy visit from the General Manager of Perak FC, Neow Choo Seong, at the Perak Police Contingent Headquarters, accompanied by Hasbullah.
This meeting was the first for the three individuals since their recent appointments.
It served as an introduction while discussing matters related to the safety of football spectators during Liga-M matches.
