SITIAWAN: The Manjung Municipal Council (MPM) has carried out a seizure operation at Jalan Senawi, Sitiawan.
This operation followed a monitoring initiative focused on inspecting permits for the use of tables and chairs.
The inspection found four stalls that had been abandoned without valid approval or permits from MPM.

As a result, a seizure action was taken against the involved stalls.
This is in accordance with the provisions under the Hawker By-laws (Manjung Municipal Council) 2020.
The action was taken to ensure that hawking activities are not carried out arbitrarily and without regulation.
It also aims to safeguard public safety and comfort, and to maintain a clean, orderly environment that does not disrupt traffic flow.

At the same time, all hawkers and traders are reminded to apply for valid licenses and approvals before conducting any hawking activities, including the use of tables and chairs in public areas.
Failure to comply with these provisions may result in seizures, fines, or license cancellations under the applicable by-laws.
