Reinstall Jalan Sultan Signboard; Fix Potholes on Jalan Batu Bungkal

By Aida Aziz

IPOH: A local resident of Pasir Pinji has requested that the Ipoh City Council (MBI) reinstall the Jalan Sultan signboard, which was damaged and fell down following a road accident.

According to the complainant, although MBI had resurfaced the roadside in front of premises 293 and 294 on Jalan Queen, Pasir Pinji, in March, the Jalan Sultan signboard had still not been reinstalled.

However, the resident expressed appreciation for the installation of a new ‘Stop’ sign at the intersection of Jalan Queen and Jalan Sultan in April, after the issue was raised with Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.

“I had raised concerns about the fallen ‘Stop’ sign and the road sign that were knocked down in the earlier accident.

“Besides that, MBI has already resurfaced the damaged road after I reported the issue to Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic. I hope the Jalan Sultan signboard can be installed soon to help guide the public in identifying the road,” the resident added.

Meanwhile, in a separate matter, a reader of Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic urged the authorities to promptly repair a road full of potholes on Jalan Batu Bungkal, Taman Victoria.

They said the road has been in poor condition for over a month. Although complaints have been submitted to the relevant authorities, no action has been taken, posing a danger to road users.

“The location is on Jalan Batu Bungkal, Taman Victoria. It’s the route leading to SMK Raja Perempuan,” they said.
