SUNGAI SIPUT: The Town Hall Discussion on Tackling Current Crime Issues and Road Safety in the Sungai Siput District was held at the Dewan Tun Samy Vellu Convention Center (TSVCC) here.
The program, organized by the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department of the Perak Police (PDRM Perak), brought together four experienced panelists from the Perak Police Contingent Headquarters.

They were Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, SAC Luqman Abdul Rahman; Head of the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department, ACP Lee King Chuan; Head of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, Supt. Sahimi Hussin; Deputy Head of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department, Supt. Mohd Ridzuan Nor Ihsan.
The panel discussion focused on key issues currently affecting the Sungai Siput community.
Among the topics discussed were local crime, drug abuse—especially the illegal use of ketum leaves, the rise in online scam syndicates, and areas frequently experiencing road accidents.
The event was officiated by the Perak Police Chief, Dato’ Noor Hisham Nordin.

In his officiating speech, he expressed appreciation to all parties involved in organizing the program, especially the local residents who attended and gave their strong support to the initiative.
“Community support is crucial in the effort to combat crime and to ensure road safety is consistently upheld.
Programs like this serve as an important platform for us to openly share views and build together,” he said.
This program reflects the Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) commitment to strengthening relationships with the community, in line with the slogan ‘Police and Community Are Inseparable’
