SITIAWAN: The Lions Club of Sitiawan took a noble initiative by distributing reusable bags to the public at the Sitiawan Public Market.

A total of 200 reusable bags were handed out to market visitors by nine members of the Lions Club, including Clr. Wong Lay Keong (Zone 2 Councillor) and Clr. Ding Hoon Wee (Zone 11 Councillor).
The distribution aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of reducing the use of single-use plastic bags.
At the same time, it encouraged the community to adopt a more eco-friendly lifestyle.
This initiative by the Lions Club of Sitiawan serves as a great example for other community-based non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to follow in supporting environmental sustainability.
Such efforts help build a community that is more responsible and conscious of environmental issues.
