GERIK: A trailer carrying an estimated 45,000 kilograms of rice was seized during a special integrated operation known as Ops Pintas 2.0.
The operation took place at 1:30 AM near a petrol station along the East-West Highway in Gerik.
It involved a joint effort between the Perak State Paddy and Rice Regulatory Enforcement Team (KPB), the Ministry of Agriculture Food Security, and the police.
During the inspection, the trailer driver failed to present any valid documents related to the rice cargo.
As a result, enforcement authorities seized both the trailer and the entire rice load, which is estimated to be worth RM267,000.
