PUMM Perak Celebrates 20 Years of Entrepreneurial Spirit
Gala dinner in Ipoh, honouring past achievements and future ambitions.

Ipoh – The Malaysia Entrepreneurs’ Development Association (Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia, PUMM) Perak branch celebrated its 20th Anniversary on 9 August in grand style at the AC Hotel by Marriott, Ipoh.
With the theme “Setting Sail for 20 Years, Working Together for the Future” (扬帆二十载，携手向未来), the gala brought together over 500 people, from entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and partners from across Malaysia. The evening was a joyful mix of friendship, appreciation, and pride in how far PUMM has come.
Established in 1993, PUMM is a national platform for Malaysian entrepreneurs to connect, share ideas, and grow together. Over the past two decades, the Perak branch has been a strong supporter of local businesses, helping them explore new opportunities and inspiring the next generation of business leaders.
The celebration began with a formal walk-in by PUMM National President Dato’ Dr. Teh Tai Yong, the Central and State Committees, past presidents, and the Guest of Honour, Y.B. Tuan Wong Kah Woh, Deputy Minister of Education of Malaysia.
In his speech, Y.B. Wong spoke about the importance of strengthening Malaysia’s economy.

He added that he is confident Malaysia’s economy can and will continue to rise.
Guests enjoyed a beautiful classical dance performance by SMJK Ave Maria Convent Ipoh Dance Club, followed by an inspiring welcome from Organising Chairman John Chong and a message from Perak State Liaison Chairman Robin Low.
The night also celebrated outstanding members with special awards:

A delicious course-by-course Chinese buffet kept everyone happy, along with fine red wine from JL Wine Club, Chinese white wine and maotai from Junshun Food & Beverage, and exciting lucky draw prizes from Vivo Malaysia.
