Unauthorized Structures Demolished

IPOH: The Ipoh City Council (MBI) carried out Phase 2 of its enforcement operation this year by demolishing unauthorized structures on 19 and 21 August.

In a statement, MBI said the operation targeted four residential areas identified as having built obstructions on road reserve land.

“To ensure smooth enforcement, the operation was conducted according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), including the issuance of Demolition Notices under the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974 (Act 133),” said the statement here.

In a statement MBI said, the operation involved approximately 50 personnel from multiple agencies, including the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Perak Water Board (LAP), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), the District and Land Office (PDT), and the Perak Land and Mines Office (PTG).

Each operation began at 9 a.m. and concluded by around 11 a.m.

MBI added that it remains committed to conducting integrated enforcement actions to ensure legal compliance, public safety, and the sustainability of the city’s environment.
