Proton e.Mas EV Tour Makes a Stop in Ipoh This Sunday

by Yashila Issabelle

Get ready, Ipoh! Proton’s much-anticipated e.Mas 5 electric vehicle (EV) is rolling into town this Sunday, 24 August 2026, giving locals the chance to experience the future of driving before its official launch later this year.

The Proton e.Mas nationwide tour, which kicked off in August, is making its way across Malaysia to bring a hands-on EV experience directly to the public.

After weeks of travelling through the central region, the roadshow has now arrived in the northern region and will be in Ipoh for the 24th!

Why you should check it out

The Proton e.Mas 5 isn’t just another car, it’s a smart EV designed to make daily life simpler. With features like real-time charge planning and pre-cooling (so your car is already comfortable before you step inside), the e.Mas shows off how technology and convenience can fit seamlessly into your routine.

By setting up pop-ups at popular tourist spots, Proton is creating opportunities for Malaysians to not only see the car up close but also engage with its features in a fun, community-friendly way.

What to expect in Ipoh

This Sunday, locals can catch the Proton e.Mas 5 at two of Ipoh’s most iconic landmarks:

  • Concubine Lane – 12 PM to 1 PM
  • Gerbang Malam – 7 PM to 8 PM
