KUALA KANGSAR: A total of 19 premises in this district were inspected in an operation coordinated by the Inspectorate and Legal Branch of the Perak State Health Department.
This time, the Kuala Kangsar District Health Office served as the host of the operation.


The three-day operation involved 12 teams representing all six District Health Offices within the Northern Zone of Perak.
The enforcement carried out was based on Public Health Laws.
The operation, which involved 55 Authorized Officers, was divided into several operational areas by the operations room secretariat.


Enforcement was conducted in accordance with Public Health Laws, which include:
A total of 17 notices were issued under the Food Act 1983
76 notices under the Control of Tobacco Products for Public Health Act 2024
Notices under Section 47 for compoundable offenses
Additionally, 17 larvae collection notices and 16 Section 8 notices were issued under the Destruction of Disease-Bearing Insects Act 1975.
This enforcement operation is one of the initiatives aimed at educating the public to be mindful of personal and public health, especially when in public areas.
The Perak State Health Department advises the public and food business operators to comply with established regulations as part of efforts to maintain community health standards.
