GERIK: Perak police have deployed security assignments to ensure the smooth running of Stage Three of the Petronas Le Tour De Langkawi (LTDL) 2025.


In a statement, the Gerik District Police said that to ensure the program proceeds smoothly, police arranged duties and manpower including traffic control and point duty officers.


“The third stage of the 29th edition of Petronas Le Tour De Langkawi 2025 starts in Gerik, Perak, and ends in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan.
“A total of 123 cyclists from 22 teams are participating in the race, covering a distance of 113.8 KM,” the statement said.




The Chairperson of the Perak State Committee on Women Development, Family, Community Welfare, and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Salbiah Mohamed, was present to represent the Perak Menteri Besar.
Also in attendance were Toh Muda Orang Kaya Kaya Sri Adika Raja Shahbandar Muda Dato’ Ar. La Meor Roslan Dato’ Seri Haji Meor Ahmad Rashidi, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia, Datuk Mohamad Irwan Zulkifli, and Perak State EXCO for Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports, Khairuddin Abu Hanipah.
Datuk Salbiah flagged off the cyclists at 11 a.m. at Jalan Mat Saman Utama.


“All cyclists and supporting personnel involved in LTDL 2025 were in good and safe condition until all riders crossed the Perak border (Gerik-Jeli District) at 1:45 p.m.,” the statement added.
