Facilities at Teluk Batik Undergoing Repairs, Visitors Urged to Be Patient

By Zaki Salleh

LUMUT: Restoration works at the Teluk Batik area are currently underway, with a focus on repairing pedestrian walkways, street lighting, recreational areas, and other public amenities.

The damages followed heavy rainfall and strong waves that struck the popular tourist beach last week.

This effort by the Manjung Municipal Council (MPM) is part of an initiative to repair all damages and ensure that the area is restored to a better condition.

MPM President, Muhammad Faizal Shah Safian Suri, said the restoration process involves various repair works and the strengthening of key structures to ensure the safety and comfort of visitors.

At the same time, MPM also reminds the public not to enter the Teluk Batik beach area while restoration works are still in progress.

“Whatever is damaged, we restore. Whatever is tilted, we fix. During this period, visitors are asked to be patient.

“We prioritise public safety,” he said in a statement.

MPM also seeks the cooperation of the public, including local residents, traders, and visitors, to be patient and support these restoration efforts.

He also urged everyone to pray for the smooth progress of the restoration process.

“May the restoration work be eased.

“These works are a shared responsibility, and the authorities hope that all parties will work together to care for and preserve the Teluk Batik area once it has been restored,” he said.
