The Rotary Club of Greentown in collaboration the National Cancer Society Malaysia(NCSM)-Caritas Homes of Hope in Ipoh held a Christmas celebration on 13 December, at the hall on Level 2 of the NCSM-Caritas Homes of Hope at Kampung Simee, the theme for the celebration was “Live Fully, Give Generously and Spread Happiness”.
83 people were in attendance, consisting of Rotarians, cancer surviving children with their families, cancer surviving adults, volunteers, staff and guests.
The objective of this celebration was to bring joy and Cheer to the cancer surviving children. A total of 10 children were in attendance with their families. They joyfully received their “Wish List Gift” from Santa. The children also received additional gifts from NCSM-Caritas Homes of Hope & from Rotary Club of Greentown.
The “Wish List Gifts” were contributed by Rotarians and well-wishers.
A duet of musicians were on hand to play music and sing Christmas carols together with the participants.
There were games for both the children and adults to participate in, as well as dance performances by the children.
Attending the event was Professor Dr. Murallitharan M., Managing Director of National Cancer Society Malaysia.
The Rotary Club of Greentown offers their thanks and appreciation to Miss Anna Mary, Home Coordinator for NCSM-Caritas Homes of Hope and her able team for helping the event run smoothly.
