IPOH – Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has issued a warning to the public regarding the circulation of fake emails claiming prize claims, which misuse the company’s name to trick recipients into disclosing personal information.
According to TNB, these emails are not issued by the company and constitute a growing form of fraud, especially through digital platforms.
“TNB wishes to emphasise that any such emails or communications are fraudulent and have no connection with the company,” the statement said.
Members of the public are advised to remain vigilant and refrain from sharing any personal or financial information with suspicious parties, including bank account details, identity card numbers, or passwords.
TNB also urged users to ignore any suspicious communications claiming to be from the company, or to report them to TNB for further action via the official channels:

TNB stressed that all official company information and announcements are only disseminated through verified and authorised communication platforms.
Members of the public are reminded to always verify the authenticity of any email or message before taking action, to avoid falling victim to online scams.
