Three Injured After Myvi Plunges Into Ravine

Gopeng — Three people were injured after a Perodua Myvi they were travelling in is believed to have skidded and plunged into a ravine near kilometre 299.5 of the North-South Expressway, northbound, here today.

A spokesperson for the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak said the victims comprised two women and one man.

He said a total of 11 personnel from the Gopeng and Tapah Fire and Rescue Stations were deployed to the scene.

Firefighters carried out rescue operations using a spine board and a basket stretcher before successfully extricating the victims.

All victims were transported by Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicles and personnel from the Ministry of Health Malaysia to the hospital for further treatment.
