Public invited to donate blood in conjunction with Ramadan

IPOH — The public is invited to participate in a two-day blood donation programme to be held from February 24 to 25 at Dewan As-Syafie, Masjid Sultan Idris Shah II.

It is understood that more than 100 units of blood are needed daily to treat patients at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun and across the Kinta district.

As such, members of the public are encouraged to come forward and donate blood to help those in need.

The programme will run from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm on both days.

Organisers said public contributions are highly meaningful and represent a significant charitable act that can help save many lives.

Blood supplies are typically in high demand during emergencies such as accidents, surgeries, and childbirth complications.
