IPOH: The Perak Water Board (LAP) has announced that a scheduled water supply disruption will take place in Ipoh Grove and the surrounding areas on Sunday.
The disruption is to allow for the installation of a new hydrant pipeline.
According to a notice issued by LAP, the works are part of efforts to improve facilities and enhance the fire safety system in the area.
Water supply is expected to be affected from 9 am to 9 pm throughout the installation period.
Consumers in the affected areas are therefore advised to store sufficient water in preparation for the temporary disruption.
Meanwhile, another scheduled water supply disruption will also take place in several areas on Pulau Pangkor on Tuesday, March 10, following maintenance works at the Pulau Pangkor pump house.
The disruption is due to the installation of a Butterfly Valve and Non-Return Valve at the intake section of the Pulau Pangkor pump house as part of maintenance and improvement works to the water supply system.
The disruption is scheduled from 9 am to 9 pm and is expected to affect about 400 homes and premises in several areas on the island.
Among the areas affected are Taman Seri Pangkor, Pangkor Laut, the entire Teluk Nipah area and Teluk Dalam.
