In a celebration of unity, the Senior Citizens Club of Perak (SCCP)’s Ipoh members celebrated both Chinese New Year (CNY) and Hari Raya Aidilfitri recently. On 7 March, they had a belated CNY celebration and on 18 March, they celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri early.

For the CNY celebration, the members of the club wore mostly red and sang Chinese songs, but for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, they sang mostly Malay songs, with the members encouraged to put on baju Melayu, baju kurung and kebaya, to create a Raya atmosphere.

These celebrations, which bypass cultural borders, provided the perfect opportunity for SCCP members to gather together in fellowship, sharing their ideas and expanding their network in a fun environment.
