TAIPING: A total of 96 students from Politeknik Ungku Omar, Ipoh, Perak participated in the Taiping Zoo & Night Safari Education Package.
Through the session, the students were given first-hand exposure to the diversity of wildlife as well as the conservation efforts carried out at Taiping Zoo & Night Safari.
The programme also aimed to enhance knowledge and awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability.
At the same time, it offered students the opportunity to learn animal behaviour both theoretically and practically.
In addition, this community service initiative helped instil social responsibility, teamwork, and communication skills among the students.
The programme aligns with the concept of experiential learning, emphasising hands-on engagement alongside academic study.
