IPOH: The spirit of unity and togetherness was evident at the Aidilfitri gathering organised by the Taman Rishah 1B Neighbourhood Watch (KRT).
The event brought together residents of various races in a harmonious setting.
Despite being modest, the celebration was lively and helped strengthen ties among the local community regardless of background.
Taman Rishah 1B KRT chairman B. Jayaprakash said such programmes serve as an important platform to foster understanding and reinforce societal unity.
He said the commitment shown by residents—who contributed their time, ideas and food through a potluck arrangement—reflected sincerity and a spirit of sharing.
“This event not only celebrates Aidilfitri, but also serves as a medium to unite a multiracial community in a spirit of goodwill,” he said.
The presence of 91 residents and invited guests further enlivened the event, demonstrating strong community support for local activities.
Besides enjoying the food, attendees also took the opportunity to mingle and strengthen neighbourly ties in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.
Programmes like this are hoped to continue in the future to ensure that the spirit of unity and harmony within the community remains strong.
