IPOH: Yayasan Perak has detected the spread of false information on social media regarding a free housing assistance offer using its name and logo.

In a statement, the foundation stressed that the information is fake and has no connection whatsoever with the organisation.

As such, the public is advised not to be deceived by any suspicious links being shared.

They are also reminded to avoid sharing personal information or making any transactions without official verification.

According to the foundation, the public must remain cautious of offers that appear too good to be true or questionable, particularly those involving financial or housing assistance.

“Any application for assistance initiatives under Yayasan Perak can only be made through official channels that have been designated,” the statement read.

The public is also encouraged to obtain verified information through official social media platforms or by contacting the designated hotline.

Yayasan Perak reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding public welfare and urged the public to work together in curbing the spread of fake news.
