PANGKOR: A journey of approximately 535 kilometres from Kota Tinggi, Johor to Pulau Pangkor was undertaken to carry out volunteer work.
That was the experience of 32 students from Kolej Universiti Yayasan Pelajaran Johor, accompanied by four lecturers.

They travelled to the resort island to participate in the Beach Clean Up & Data Collection programme at Teluk Nipah Beach, Pulau Pangkor.
The programme was organised in collaboration with the Community and Social Development Department (JPKS) and the Urban Cleanliness and Environmental Department (JKPB) of the Manjung Municipal Council.
It aimed to raise awareness on the importance of maintaining cleanliness in beach areas.

At the same time, participants also carried out solid waste data collection for research purposes and to improve beach cleanliness management in the future.
Through the activity, participants had the opportunity to be directly involved in environmental conservation efforts while instilling a sense of responsibility towards the sustainability of coastal areas.
The programme is expected to create a positive impact in raising public awareness to ensure Teluk Nipah Beach remains clean and well-preserved.
