Looking for a Family Day Out in Ipoh? This One Comes with a TWIST

Wesley Methodist School Ipoh is giving families a reason to head out on 27 June 2026.
Expect food, games, campus activities, an education fair and a student production that comes with its own TWIST.
The school will host Open Day with a TWIST, a full-day event for families, students and the wider Ipoh community.
Held at Wesley Methodist School Ipoh, the event brings together two experiences in one day. Visitors can explore the school during its Open Day and also enjoy TWIST, the school’s annual student production.
From 9am to 2pm, visitors can explore the campus, meet the teachers and speak to school representatives.
It is a chance to see the school environment up close, especially for parents who may be considering future school options for their children.
The day has been planned as a family-friendly community event, with food stalls, fun fair games, activities, health talks, school displays and a Popular Book Fair.
Families can take their time, walk around the campus and enjoy the different activities happening throughout the day.
There will also be an education fair for visitors who want to explore study options and learning pathways.
Participating colleges, universities and education providers will be present to share information on A-Levels, foundation programmes, pre-university courses, IT, engineering, healthcare, culinary arts, music, design, and local and overseas university pathways.
With education providers also taking part, visitors will be able to gather information on different study pathways, programmes and future learning options in one place.
The second big experience of the day is TWIST, the school’s annual student production.
There will be two show options for TWIST, giving families the choice of either the 10am performance or the 12.30pm performance.
Inspired by highlights from Oliver Twist and Time Twist, TWIST promises music, drama, laughter and a few surprises along the way.
As seats for the production require entry passes, those planning to watch TWIST are encouraged to register early and secure their passes in advance.
