IPOH : Majuperak Holdings Berhad (MHB) and Digital Perak Corporation Holdings recently paid a courtesy visit to the Department of Town and Country Planning (PLANMalaysia), through its Smart City Planning Centre (PLAN-BP), in Putrajaya, to discuss the development of Smart City initiatives.
The MHB delegation was led by General Manager of Business Development Mohd Zaharim Mohd Yatim and Head of Digital Business Ahmad Salman Farisi Ahmad Faizul, while Digital Perak Corporation Holdings was represented by its Director of Business Development Mohammad Effendi Abdul Talib.
The discussion session was chaired by the Head of the Smart City Planning Centre (PLAN-BP), Syarifah Nuraida Tengku Mohd Apandi.
The meeting aimed to strengthen strategic collaboration and provide greater insight into the policies, direction and implementation of the national Smart City agenda.
Among the key areas discussed were the development and implementation of Smart City initiatives, the integration of digital technologies and the digitalisation of municipal services to improve the efficiency of public service delivery.
The implementation of Smart Safety systems, which leverage technology and real-time data to enhance public safety monitoring, was also a main topic of discussion.
In addition, participants explored the management of solid waste through the adoption of green technologies and smart solutions to promote environmental sustainability in urban areas.
The discussion also touched on efforts to accelerate the digital transformation of local authorities, paving the way for more efficient, transparent and citizen-friendly administrative systems.
The engagement provided an avenue to explore potential collaborations that could assist local authorities in Perak in expediting the implementation of Smart City initiatives while strengthening the state’s digital economy development.
The strategic collaboration between PLANMalaysia, MHB and Digital Perak Corporation Holdings is expected to serve as a catalyst for the development of more resilient, sustainable and technology-driven cities that enhance the well-being of communities.
