IPOH: Members of the public have urged the authorities to repair a damaged metal road cover, outside the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) building along Jalan Greentown here, warning that it poses a safety risk to pedestrians.
The metal cover is believed to have broken and requires re-cementing after it became dislodged.
“We urge the authorities to repair the damage immediately as it endangers the public,” a member of the public said.
Several Ipoh residents also reported similar incidents of damaged or open metal covers at various locations across the city, raising concerns about road user safety.
“There are many cases of these covers being left open, especially around Ipoh and its surrounding areas. We don’t know who to report them to. We hope the relevant authorities will monitor and repair these open metal covers,” an Ipoh resident said.
