IPOH: The newly resurfaced Jalan Lahat is expected to provide greater comfort and relief to thousands of motorists who use the road daily.
Buntong assemblyman Thulsi Manogaran expressed her appreciation to all parties who had worked tirelessly and consistently to ensure the upgrading of the previously deteriorated road.

“Jalan Lahat has now been resurfaced. This road falls under my responsibility as the Buntong assemblyman.
“Councillor Sivam Kali Muthu has been making consistent efforts to ensure the badly damaged and ageing Jalan Lahat could be upgraded.
“I also raised the matter during the Perak State Legislative Assembly sitting on the need for an allocation to upgrade Jalan Lahat.
“Finally, after several application letters from my office were submitted to the authorities, the government approved RM2.75 million for the upgrading of this road,” she said.

The upgrading of Jalan Lahat was deemed necessary as the road serves as a major route connecting several areas in Ipoh.
Residents welcomed the improvement, describing it as a much-needed relief for many road users, following numerous complaints previously lodged over the poor condition of Jalan Lahat.
