IPOH – Several major roads around Ipoh will be closed and diverted in stages on September 30 in conjunction with Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2026 Stage 4.
The road closures will begin at 10 am and continue until the race is completed to provide passage for cyclists and race officials.
Ipoh District Police Chief ACP Muhammad Nawib Hamzah said the Ipoh District Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division (BSPTD) will manage traffic control throughout the event.
The affected routes include Sultan Azlan Shah Roundabout in Bandar Meru Raya and Jalan Chemor-Jelapang up to the traffic lights at Jalan Ipoh-Lumut.
Jalan Ipoh-Lumut and Jalan Gopeng towards Simpang Pulai will also be affected.
Members of the public are advised to use alternative routes, including Jalan Jelapang-Ampang (Outer Ring Road) and Jalan Kuala Kangsar.
Road users, particularly Ipoh residents, are advised to plan their journeys earlier to avoid traffic congestion.
They are also urged to comply with instructions from police officers and traffic control personnel at the affected locations.
Any changes or reopening of roads will depend on the race conditions and instructions from the authorities.
The cooperation and patience of all road users are greatly appreciated to ensure the smooth organisation of LTdL 2026.
