IPOH – Digital Perak was invited to participate in the MDX Forum 2026 organised by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) as part of efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s digital and artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem.
Digital Perak Director of Digital Business Development, Effendi Abd Talib, was invited as one of the panelists at the forum.
The forum, held at the Marriott Hotel, Petaling Jaya, brought together around 200 senior delegates.
MDX Forum 2026 focused on building a competitive AI ecosystem capable of generating economic value.
The discussions also explored how AI technology can become more useful and accessible in the daily activities of businesses and communities.
Effendi joined the panel alongside the Chief Executive Officer of Pahang State Development Corporation, Airulamri Amran.
Also on the panel were Digital Penang Chief Executive Officer, Ts. Ng Kwang Ming, and PIKOM Chief Executive Officer, Ong Kian Yew.
The session discussed the roles of state governments, industry players and ecosystem stakeholders in accelerating AI adoption.
The panel also examined the opportunities and level of readiness for AI technology among businesses and communities.
The closing session emphasised the need for closer cooperation between the government, industry and ecosystem partners to translate AI aspirations into actual implementation.
Earlier, the MDX Forum 2026 was officiated by Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo.
