MDBG Community Agents Begin Capturing Stray Animals

By Aida Aziz

BATU GAJAH: Introducing community agents to manage stray animals in Batu Gajah is seen as an important step toward addressing the issue more comprehensively and effectively.

Stray animals have long been a public concern, particularly because they damage crops and increase the risk of road accidents.

The Batu Gajah District Council (MDBG) said the community in Mukim Tanjung Tualang recently succeeded in capturing buffaloes found roaming at night.

The effort demonstrated that community cooperation could translate into concrete action on the ground, rather than remaining merely a plan.

“This initiative is an important step in strengthening the community’s role in addressing stray animal issues, which can threaten road users’ safety and affect residents’ well-being.

“MDBG also urges all livestock farmers and animal owners to ensure their animals are properly controlled and not allowed to roam freely, potentially endangering the public.

“Let us work together and extend our cooperation to create a safer, more orderly and harmonious environment for everyone,” it said.
