Some 60 residents of the Lotus Foundation old folk’s home were entertained to music, songs and games prior to the onset of the festive seasons.
The annual gathering was held at the foundation home at No. 8, Jalan Foo Choong Nyit on Wednesday, December 17. Joining the merriment were representatives from the Perak Dementia Society, Perak Parkinson Society, Yayasan Sultan Azlan Shah, Hope Society and Perak Senior Citizens’ Club.
“We appreciate the needs of these old folks as their welfare is our priority. With Christmas and New Year around the corner what better time to celebrate the occasion along with representatives from other welfare organisations in Ipoh,” said Cecilia Chan, the General Manager of Lotus Foundation and organiser of the event, to Ipoh Echo.
The old timers had a hilarious time belting out songs on cue accompanied by a musical band. Their spontaneity was a joy to behold.
Besides helping themselves to the food and drinks, they partook in some indoor games organised to maximise on fellowship and team play.
