Lingzy Represents Ipoh

Ipohite Lingzy was in Ipoh for a quick break from the hustle and bustle in Kuala Lumpur when she decided to compete in the Shuddup N Dance competition held recently at Ipoh Parade. The final battle took place on March 20 where Lingzy emerged as winner for Solo Category, beating twenty other dancers including Daniel XP, the winner from last year.

“Lingzy was at home for holidays when she found out about the competition. For a girl who loves dancing, naturally she wanted to take part in it,” said Program Director, Alan Thoo.

For the group category, the epic battles of twenty dancing crews saw representatives from Penang, Dvolution grabbing first place leaving DareFam second and EXLR8 Dance Crew as the first runner up. Dvolution impressed all judges including Bboy GeeOne from Thailand who was amazed by their slick and quick moves.

“Although there is room for improvement, Dvolution’s synchronizations and choreography sets them apart from others,” said Bboy during the final battle. Two Rejuvenate Crews members, Dannly Lee and Chan Hon Fee were among the judges on that day.

Top four solos (Lingzy, Daniel Xp, Bboy Hi Jump, Mugen) and top three groups (Dvolution, DareFam, EXLR8 Dance Crew) from the Ipoh Parade battle will be up against the winners from Klang Parade, Citta Mall and 1Mont Kiara mall in August for the final round of Shuddup N Dance 2016 battle.
