Before the conference, Zuraina had a discussion with Secretary-General of TPO, Professor Dr Kim Soo-il regarding ‘Intercity Cooperation to Help Recover the Tourism Sector’.

Also, seven TPO representatives from Kuala Kangsar; Busan, South Korea; Bheemdatta, Nepal; Foshan, China; Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam; and Jogjakarta, Indonesia presented their papers, while four others from Taiping, Busan and Ulsan, South Korea; and Pariaman, Indonesia gave their welcoming speeches.

Meanwhile, Ipoh mayor, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin encourages meetings or seminars to be held online in view of the new norm.

For instance, he organised an online one-stop centre (OSC) meeting on May 5, which involved 13 external and nine internal technical agencies from MBI.
