RM250,000 to Upgrade Slim

The Ladies Lane business centre and a few other facilities in Slim township will be upgraded to guarantee comfort for businesses and tourists.

According to the State Executive Councillor for Housing, Local Government and Housing, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin Mohamed Radzi, besides comfort for the locals, the upgrade will encourage tourists to spend more while in Slim.

“Ladies Lane which is held every weekend and other attractions will definitely bring more tourists to the town,” she expressed. “Thus, the state government has approved the allocation of RM250,000 for upgrading and renovation purposes.

“Hopefully, when these works are done, the local economy will improve and make Slim an interesting local tourism product,” Nolee Ashilin added.

“Ladies Lane houses 30 female entrepreneurs besides 20 food truck entrepreneurs,” she mentioned. “The food business here has its own speciality and the potential to entice tourists to try out many of their appetite-inducing food menus.”
