The new Director of the Perak Department of Social Welfare (JKM), Cik Nor Tipah Binti Majin, made her first visit to Persatuan DAYBREAK on September 4, 2020.
Accompanied by officers from JKM, she was welcomed by Dato’ Sandra Lee, Executive Chairperson of Persatuan DAYBREAK, as well as members of the Management Committee and the staff of DAYBREAK.
She met the trainees at their vocational training stations and visited the facilities of the training workshop. Dato’ Sandra Lee explained the various training activities which are carried out at DAYBREAK for Persons with Disabilities, including the handicrafts which are skillfully made by their production workers and trainees.
The highlight of the visit was a question and answer session, after a video presentation of DAYBREAK’s development and progress since 1992. Cik Nor Tipah encouraged NGOs caring for the disabled to seek the assistance of officers in JKM if there are any uncertainties or issues which may arise. They will work together with NGOs to find suitable solutions for mutual benefit.
