Help Musa Before It’s Too Late

Unlike other teenagers, Mohd Izam Musa, 18 and Nabila Musa, 16, have to care for their father, Musa Ngah Wahab, 48, who’s suffering from fourth stage lung cancer.

Nabila said she had to stop schooling to look after their ailing father who needs intensive care. Musa is no longer able to work in rubber tapping to fend for his children, since parting ways with his wife more than 10 years ago.

“He was diagnosed with lung cancer earlier this year. RM40,000 is needed for further treatment at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM).

“What’s worse, according to the doctor’s report, the cancer cells have started spreading to his brain, kidneys and surrounding parts of the lungs. The risk keeps getting higher if no preliminary action is taken.

“We are fretting over ways to obtain such a large sum of money. We’ve no choice but to seek sympathy from the public and get immediate aid before it’s too late,” she said when met at their residence in Kampung Temin Hilir, Sungai Siput today (December 7).

Mohd Izam conveyed that due to their poor state, they owe relatives RM6,000 for their father’s earlier treatments.

“I work part-time as a lorry conductor, even so, only when I’m needed. My salary is unstable but just enough for our daily rations.

“Our father has undergone radiotherapy six times. Now, he needs to seek treatment at PPUM, where each session costs RM300,” he said, sobbing.

Any kind-hearted samaritan who wishes to help may do so by donating to Musa’s Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) account Musa Ngah Wahab 0890141000054642 or contact Mohd Izam at 011 3954 0744.
