New Milestone for Shen Jai Education Group

Three new establishments under Shen Jai Education Group, namely Authentique Restaurant, Taste Cafe and Bake & Take Patisserie, were unveiled during a launch on Tuesday, March 16. It is set to be training grounds for students from Kompas International College (KIC) and Shen Jai TVET College (SJTC) to immerse in the work-based approach curriculum implemented.

Celebrating another milestone in the expansion of the group, the launch was held in Authentique Restaurant located at Ipoh Garden Square along Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah in Ipoh Garden South.

Justin Yeoh Saik Chooi, the Group CEO for Shen Jai Education Group explained, “These outlets mark another milestone in our development, expanding into hospitality and tourism industries. These platforms are open to the public and at the same time, enable students to undergo practical training utilising a work-based approach with real-life industry expectations. We have a pool of experienced and passionate chefs from 5-star hotels among others.”

The restaurant, cafe and patisserie are situated in close proximity within the premises, providing easy access and convenience. The usage of these outlets will be multi-purpose as it provides training, services and commercial facilities for the students and public alike.

Taste is a bistro cafe of cozy ambience that offers casual dining with a fusion menu (Asian and Western) as its specialty. Bake & Take is a patisserie with a wide selection of freshly-baked pastries, buns and breads created by the young chefs. Meanwhile, Authentique is a fine-dining restaurant that will be fully operational in May but is now receiving reservation for exclusive private VIP dining for small groups. Stay tuned as a sumptuous Ramadan dinner buffet is also in the pipeline!

Operating with strict adherence to the health and safety standard operating procedures, Taste Cafe opens from 11am with last order for food at 2.45pm (closed on Tuesday) while Bake & Take Patisserie opens from 10am till 6pm (closed on Tuesday). Plus, one would be served by the attentive members of the crew who are ever ready to assist. To date, all outlets are pork-free and in the midst of applying for halal certification.
