BizNita Kiosks to Boost Economy of Women and Families

In an initiative to boost women’s economic activities, a total of 215 women in Perak received the BizNita Kiosks with a unique and easy-to-carry design to aid them in running businesses.

The Executive Councillor for Women Development, Family, Community Welfare and NGO, Datuk Dr. Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin said that the change can help ease the burden caused by the COVID-19 pandemic as it enables businesswomen to increase household income.

“This kiosk is specially designed to ensure it facilitates the businesswomen. The kiosk set also comes with a foldable lightweight umbrella which makes it easier to be packed in a car.

“Therefore, it’ll reduce the hassle for those who have to carry goods around alone,” she said after the presentation ceremony of the BizNita Kiosks at the Behrang Station Hall. The ceremony was officiated by Perak Menteri Besar, Dato’ Saarani Mohamad.

It was in conjunction with the Menteri Besar Bersama Rakyat (MESRA) programme of the Tanjung Malim Parliament.

As a presentation gimmick, a total of 12 recipients from Tapah, Teluk Intan and Tanjung Malim received the kiosks which were distributed to individuals of all ethnicities involving an allocation of RM350,000.
