Hotel Excelsior Ipoh along Jalan Sultan Abdul Jalil is offering a myriad of cuisines of up to 60 items daily from its rotating menu for the month of Ramadan beginning April 17 till May 10.
Among the must-try items on its dinner buffet are its ikan keli salai masak lemak (smoked catfish in coconut gravy), kambing kari kentang (mutton curry with potatoes), rendang tok (braised beef short ribs), ayam percik Kelantan (Kelantan-style roasted spiced chicken), Chinese-style chicken rice, grilled chicken breast, ulam (fresh herb salad), rojak (spicy fruit salad) and more.
“Besides authentic Malay cuisine, we also feature specialty dishes from various states, Western food, as well as Chinese delicacies by Chef Leong Yoke Choon,” explained Chef Azman Rizal Azizi who led the team for the preparation of Malay and Western menus with his 35 years of culinary experience.
The sweet treats offered include kuih (traditional cakes), freshly sliced fruits, shaved ice dessert, assorted cakes and tarts.
“We have customers of all ethnicities. Bookings for private events (from 30 people onwards) are welcome,” T Rajah, Operations Manager shared during a media session yesterday (April 24).
Operating with strict adherence to the health and safety standard operating procedures, the Dulang Coffee House on ground floor can accommodate a daily average of 80 diners while its ballroom on level 13A has a capacity of up to 250 people. Did I mention that the dining experience at the ballroom is complete with a panoramic view of the city of Ipoh?
The extensive spread comes with a reasonable price tag of only RM58 nett per adult, RM45 nett per senior citizen and RM35 nett per child. Plus, there is a buy-10-free-1 promotion for adults.
Prayer facilities are available. Parking within the premises is priced at a flat rate of RM5.30. Parking is aplenty around the hotel too.
