Accident Involving Two Lorries, One Victim Reported

An accident involving two lorries and one victim occurred at KM331 of the PLUS North-South Expressway (Southbound) earlier today (May 25).

A spokesperson for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) said that an emergency call was received at around 6.54am.

“A squad and a vehicle from the Tapah Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were rushed to the scene right after.

“Upon arrival, it was shown that one of the lorries was crashed into from behind. 

“In the aftermath, the victim, a man in his 30s who’s also believed to be the lorry driver, was trapped in the lorry. 

“He sustained injuries on his left leg. The squad subsequently rescued him from the crash site and provided preliminary treatment.

“The victim was handed over to on-site health staff for further actions,” he explained.

The operation which ended at around 7.27am was led by Senior Fire Officer II (PBK II) Johari Mohamad.
