Two Vehicles 80 Percent Destroyed by Fire, No Victims Reported

Two vehicles were destroyed in a fire along Laluan Perajurit 1 near Bercham in Ipoh earlier today (May 24).

A spokesperson for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department said that an emergency call was received at around 4.20pm.

“A squad and a vehicle from the Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station along with the Bercham volunteer fire brigade (PBS) were rushed to the location.

“Upon arrival, two vehicles, a Toyota Alphard and a Toyota Innova had already been 80 percent destroyed by the fire. 

“Two water-based hose reels were used to extinguish the fire.

“No victims were involved. However, the cause of the fire is still under investigation,” he explained.

The operation which ended at around 5pm was led by Senior Fire Officer II (PBK II) Abdul Rahman Abdullah.
