Rasa Sayang Campaign: Sanitise Your Home Free-of-Charge!

A chance to obtain a free sanitisation or disinfection service should not be missed especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Coway Health Planner, Ahmad ‘Ala Uddin Muhammad, 29, explained that the management of Coway takes the outbreak seriously especially among those with low income (B40 group).

“Coway is in line with the statement of Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, Health Director-General for home owners to perform their own sanitisation process as a measure to curb the COVID-19 outbreak.

“The Rasa Sayang Campaign is among the corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes which began from MCO 1.0 last year with the contribution of face masks and disinfection liquids. Presently, during MCO 3.0, we offer free sanitisation from home to home.

“Besides the B40 group, we also target the high-risk elderly and children,” he shared after performing sanitisation at the home of Abidin Jali Hijazi Mat Jiri in Bercham yesterday (May 31).

In addition to adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the implementation of the campaign, Coway ensures that the safety of the disinfection solution used is compliant under the European Union’s Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS).

“We make use of the Coway Fogger Machine together with the solution. The fog would permeate through all spaces at home without leaving a wet stain, mold or smell. This is the uniqueness of the sanitisation method which we wish to share with all.

“The alcohol-free disinfectant is made of natural ingredients and is able to kill 99.99% of germs in as fast as 10 seconds. It is also safe for children and pets,” he highlighted.

Meanwhile, Abidin Jali Hijazi Mat Jiri, 70, from Bercham said that the opportunity provided by Coway free-of-charge benefitted not only the health of the family, it aids the less fortunate.

“I was informed that so far, a total of 10,000 homes have been successfully sanitised by 100 staff members made up of Coway agents. This is a noble effort of Coway in helping the government fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I hope that the campaign will be continued and for members of the public to grab this golden opportunity for the wellbeing of all,” he stressed.

Members of the public who are interested in obtaining this free service can contact Ahmad ‘Ala Uddin directly at 018-574 0631 (call or WhatsApp).
